axation, they are also located in an area with a lot to do. The antique shopping in West Jefferson is worth spending a day at, and the boutique shopping in Blowing Rock is one-of-a-kind. If you are feeling more adventurous, Boone offers a zip-lining course as well as other outdoor activities. I have enjoyed every minute that I have been lucky enough to spend at these getaways and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a fun place to take the family or just a place to relax with peace and quiet. The location truly allows for you to mold your vacation around whatever type that you are looking for."

"It was fantastic to spend the weekend at the Owl's Nest during winter. I took a trip up with my family while there was still snow on the ground. It was so nice to be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery and watch the winter animals make tracks across the fields. We took up a telescope and got some great views of the sky as well - hot chocolate and stargazing are a great mix! The next day we went into West Jefferson and explored the fiber art store and antique shop, as well as getting a delicious lunch at a local cafe. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a great place to stay that cuts away all the noise. The sound of birds and the quiet babbling of the river make for quite a healing retreat from the rush and hubbub of city life. I left rested and rejuvenated, with plenty of memories and fun experiences to share. What a wonderful trip!"
